Soria is a small city in north-central Spain. Historically its strategic location along the River Duero was essential; however, with the passing of time the city has left the valley and has spread to the plateau, leaving the river banks out of their development priorities.

The close relations between the city’s inhabitants create a small but solid network in terms of the social and business as the driving force of the locality. The strategy for revitalising the valley is about extending these connections of the invisible city, providing mobile nodes capable of spreading a social flow along the riverside.

The Nest-Shelters are prefabricated modular units that can be combined in several different ways. They are flexible and reusable, so they can be adapted to any requirement. Users can assemble their own nest-shelter, extend it, divide it or recycle it. Located on the ground with a stabiliser base, they are well suited to any terrain and blend into the environment using minimum resources, so they can stay forever or disappear without a trace.
