As online shopping changes the face of retail, shopping centres are having to reinvent themselves. Architecture shapes the collective behaviour of experiential retail.
No longer merely a necessity, shopping has become a leisure activity, and shopping malls an entertainment destination.
We have worked with developers exploring new ways architecture can attract people and become spaces they want to visit. We are familiar with creating interior mallscapes customers want to linger in, as well as food courts and leisure areas that are inviting and entertaining.
We believe an attractive building and consistent retail design drives footfall, encourages the fluid movement of people and creates space for moments of interaction.
We work closely with the client to future-proof the design from the outset and include RDM consultants at the earliest stages of the project. We aim to balance the demands of the retailers, staff, and consumers with logistics and forward-thinking spatial strategies.
