Residential interior design in Valladolid



This interior design is based on a simple arrangement of spaces as a result of overlapping a kitchen with a living room covered by a single pitch roof.



Location: Valladolid, Spain
Ground Floor Area: 150 sqm
Client: Private


The project is located in a residential area on the outskirts of Valladolid, surrounded by a plain landscape. The intervention use simple materials to determine three different visually connected spaces: entrance lobby, dining area and living room.

A black slate stone wall which rough surface is dramatized through the diffuse light coming from a tight and linear roof light, contrasts with the white atmosphere of the space. The use of cool and bright materials intends to offer a fresh interior protected from the exposed landscape.

The result is a minimal space where black and white contrast is dominant. The light-colored furniture, including pieces such Panton or Barcelona chairs, stand out from the dark slate flooring.
